April 4, 2009 - The 4th Annual Alvin Music Festival
The Alvin Music Festival was created in 2005 with the cooperation of the Alvin Evening Lions Club and it's president Louis Garza, III and Ricky Lee Productions and it's president Ricky L. Duran. In the meantime, we are working hard to get local music recognized. So add us and let us share with you some great music!
Want to help plan for the next big show and other great events? Become a member of the Alvin Evening Lions Club or Alvin Leo Club.
The festival has two purposes. First, we provide a venue for local and area musicians to showcase their talent, promote their music and build their fan base. The musicians we invite to play are the ones working hard on their future...their dream.
The second and most important purpose is to raise funds and awareness of Lions Clubs and local charities. The money raised from the Alvin Music Festival will benefit Alvin and the surrounding community. Charities benefitting include the Texas Lions Camp for special needs and diabetic children, the Alvin Community Food Pantry which provides assistance for families in need and the Lions eyeglass program. The Lions eyeglass program provides children in the Alvin school district eye exams and glasses when their families can not.

The First Annual Alvin Music Festival was held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the National Oak Park in Alvin, Texas. The AMF has been held annually in April since then and will always be a free show. The 08 AMF Featured many bands, a blood drive, a guitar hero tournament and lots of fun. The 2009 AMF gears have started rolling, so keep an eye out for updates.
